Aye, I like how Rich Hirsch called me a bitch in the credits but thanked the internet for the music.

Haha, I saw that bikeguide thing on there too :p  Speaking of the Mixtape - if I hadn't seen it online I doubt I'd have bought it, but I ended up buying two copies of it, one for me and one for my brother.  Just going back to:

Show me how downloadinga video is not theft and I will side with you

On Streetphire, someone posted up a link to Voices on googlevideo and said it was shit that it was up there.  I can't remember who it was (may have been Marv?), but he said he didn't mind Voices being on there 'cos they'd sold all of their copies of it and it made it so that people could see the video who wouldn't ordinarily have been able to see it, so they'd be inspired too.  I know it's not the same deal with stuff like All Day or whatever, but I just wanted to point that example out.

It'd be interesting to see if BMX companies WOULD take people to court over it though, especially in the case of something like the Mixtape where no music rights were gained at all.  They're not really in a position to sue people simply 'cos it'd draw attention to the fact they hadn't got the rights either?  I only know of the Mixtape not getting music rights 'cos it said so, but I'm guessing with other videos it's probably a similar story too...

Either way:  Sheep's house, Sheep's rules, pretty much.

at this moment in the evening at 7pm, i'm not actually drunk, but this still has to be one of the most thought out posts i've ever read. I'd hope in my life time to meet the individual who posted such a thing and share thoughts.

You, my friend speak the truth about many things i feel towards BMX in this world. I just hope others can find your point of view. Something leads me to believe i know you, while you remain annonymous through this forum.

BMX needs more beliefs from people like yourself.

Giving back, while expecting nothing in return. Ride-on for life my friend.

I hereby grant you the most honourary order of the brown nose.

What about Nails in the Coffin? (To quote the back of the box)

"Silence your tongue for 35 minutes and take a look behin the mask of Bicycle Union.  Once you've taken a look run a couple of copies off for your friends.  This video is for the promotion of BMX.  Fuck the FBI and copyright laws.

Live life.....Raise Hell"

BMX needs more people like John Dye and far less of the fuckers for whom money is their prime concern.

Wow, what a bunch of bullshit.

Just because a company steals the music, what gives you the right to steal the video?

i believe its called swings and fucking roundabouts.  maaate.  so, a company steals the music to use in their video and then gets pissy when their shit gets pirated?  hows that for karma?  at the end of the day, i cant afford to buy bmx dvds cuz i got fuck all money.  lotek has not lost out by me watching their dvd on google cuz because i was never gonna buy it.  the same as animal etc.

agreed. if i want a video ill buy it but, if "all day" is accesable to me through the interent without paying for it, im going to watch it for free. im not stealing anything. all the bike dvds when shipped to distributors are acounted for. all of those dvds will be sold the legal way and whatever else will either be returned to the company or put on sale.
