too true! i'd love to be able to casually squeeze off a few rounds now and again for a laugh, but fuck potentially allowing some trigger happy, paranoid moron to actually own one.

Im so glad i was only in the UK for a day and a half this time around. too many chumps

Might buy a M&P .40 from a freind. Is $470 to much for a gun with about 500rds threw it it. Will included the backstraps, carrying case one extra mag and 550-600 rds...kinda feel like it is.

Yep. 500 rounds of new .40 cal is worth at least $150 on its own.

There's a sale on a Savage rifle with the new AccuTrigger at Dick's Sporting Goods right now. It's about $550, bolt action chambered in 30-06 and it comes with Nikon optics already mounted. Synthetic stock, no fancy wood. :(
Worth buying?

You can get terrific accuracy out of the savages. Sounds like it might be a bit much though.
