Hell yeah! Lots of cool stuff on the page. Here's something I just finished making. Jack stand dollies. Same concept as regular wheel dollies only with these you can still freely move the vehicle while it's torn down. Made the bases out of 1 1/2"x1/8" angle iron and added two 12"x2"x1/8" "out-riggers" on each dolly for more stability. Welded 6 pivoting 2" metal casters to each as well for any discrepancies in the floor. Cost was around $120 for all of them.

If you plan on making some of these, I got the casters off of Amazon for $2 each which was the cheapest I could find them, otherwise everywhere had them for over $4 per caster.

Cut the 1 1/2" angle to 30" and cut out the bends every 7 1/2".

Bent it and welded everything else together gets you one of these!

those will work great until they hit that crack in the floor just right and your car ends up on the ground. its not fun getting a car off the ground that has no wheels ask me how i know:mad2:. the only way id trust them is if they were under a solid axle or some how solidly attached to the frame and welded to the dollies. i actually thought about making some but it sketched me out too much.

Thanks for all the input guys! They are very sturdy, they feel no different than if it was just on jack stands. Obviously you roll it carefully, not go balls to the wall and hope for the best. I don't even have the smoothest garage floor but it rolled with ease to the other side of the garage. Even rolled it over that crack without even noticing. Loving them. They will also double as a regular wheel dolly.

Putting it up onto the jacks was actually less sketchy as the other jack didn't want to tip over as I jacked the opposite side up, it would just roll across the floor in unison with the jack. Then I jacked up the whole rear at the same time and plopped them into place. Not worried at all.
