It is all republican propaganda to make everyone hate/dislike/fear Obama.  And even if it was to happen. Congress wouldn't let it go thru thus making it a executive order and only be in effect until he is out of office.  Clinton did this

Fucking hell, why is it so hard to get .44 caliber balls? Not even the local gun store had anything. Guess it's a trip to Cabelas.

Ok, let's say money isn't a issue,(even tho it always is) and you had your pick of either or for free. Which would you want.  Pay attention to caliber/amount magazines can hold.  Home defense maybe carrying.

I've been shooting a 9mm storm

Which one?

.45 Storm hands down. I've put a decent amount of rounds through M9's and don't like them.

AND... .45 VS 9mm isn't even a debate. :D

Not a fan of Beretta's DA/SA trigger, and the pistol felt clunky even with my long fingers.

It could also be partially due to the fact that every one I've fired has had thousands upon thousands of rounds through them.

And 10 rounds of .45 is definitely better than 15 of 9mm (you posted the 92fs, which is a 15rd gun).

10 rounds aren't going to do you much good if there are 14 zombies, 17 rounds will though. ...if you get hit by a 9mm you are going to reconsider what your doing. How about an m&p .40?

A modern, quality 9mm self defense round is fine. I would try to shoot both and pick whichever one you're better with.

Shooting a fs shouldn't be hard to do they have a wore out looking bastard at the range for rent. But you have to buy their bullets.
The 45 storm on the other hand will probably be a bit tough.

They also make multiple magazines for the 92  that also conviently fit the cx4 storm rifle. Like the 30 round magazines. 15/17/20/30 are available for the 9mm so if all hell breaks loose. I'll have a shit ton of magazines that fit both the cx4 and the fs. The magazines for the Storms (full size and subcompact) are different.

but convience is key and being able to shoot 4 different guns with the same bullets is awesome and I'm not really wanting another px4 storm

Price of a 40 and 45 round is also the same. And they only make 1 beretta in 40 which my friend owns, not feeling it.  I want it to look cute also.

Believe what you want, but first hand accounts from shooting people with a 9mm and shooting people with a .45 say otherwise. Wound channels are completely different between the two, not to mention the energy of the round.

Now a 9mm +P+ round will compare in energy to a basic .45, but that's not an apples to apples comparison.

Don't take that as me advocating for the 9mm as that's not the case. I'm just simply stating that a quality 9mm round with proper shot placement (as that's the real key) should be sufficient. I don't think one caliber is better than another because in the end it all comes down to how well you shoot it.

Gotcha!

I agree that a 9mm is sufficient for defense with the right ammo. My subcompact is a 9 and I don't trust anything smaller.

I also think 9mm is a better target/fun/comp round due to the lower recoil and flatter trajectory.

But given the option in a full size pistol... .45 without a doubt.

All this talk about 9mm.. Going to buy a glock 19 or 17 but not sure. Pretty much only going to be used for pistol class since I don't want to feed my 1911's
