I don\'t think anyone is going to literally kill her. She\'ll probably just get thrown in jail and get raped a bunch.

What did you get?

I may just end up going with a SOPMOD stock for my AR.  I'm getting tired of waiting for Magpul to ship the STR.

i was told you just can't purchase one until you're 21, but you can receive it as a gift before then. don't know how much truth there is behind that though if someone would chime in...

wisconsin just passed a concealed carry bill, thinking about applying once i know more about all this gun shit. quite honestly i just think they look cool so i might not even go for the concealed carry permit. just somethin to shoot at cans or someshit.
past tense, future perfect.

Its worded differently state by state....some you cannot buy from an FFL but can from a private sale.  Id look into it more.

And with the CC, wisconsin is shall issue, so they have to give it to you if you pass the background checks.

Take a pistol class, learn to shoot, carry when you want.

For you first time gun buyers, I recommend a rifle rather than a pistol.  That is unless you are dead set on concealed carry.

I will also add that a first time gun owner who has never handled weapons needs proper training... especially if you ever plan to carry it.

Even if someone has handled firearms before?

I planned on getting a 10/22 to get familiar with shooting again as you said... but as a kid I put about 1000 22lr rounds down range, and I dont have a need for a long gun right now so I jumped into a g23.

Sure.  I enjoy shooting my rifles way more than my handgun.  It all depends on the intended use though.

If you need something easily portable, get a handgun.  Otherwise a rifle outperforms a handgun in every category.

I agree with wheelr, fundamentals are much easier and safer to learn on a long gun than on a pistol.

If someone wanted to jump straight into a pistol I'd recommend some formal training.
