Angel of Death
« on: May 04, 2015, 09:59:22 PM »
Took some proper pics of my bike before it gets too thrashed. Was told it looks almost normal yesterday which was a nice compliment

Frame: FBM AOD 21.25
Forks: Odyssey
Stem: Bud BMX
Bars: Perfect 10s
Grips: ODI
Seat: Primo
Post: Colony
Clamp: Primo Viking
Cranks: Eclat
Pedals: JCPC
Sprocket: MDS 28t
Chain: Keychain
Wheels: Gsports laced to 7KAs
Tyres: Animal GLH 2.25
Front guards: Knight
Rear: Zodiac and Daily Grind
Pegs: 1 Snafu, 1 Cult placcy, 2 randoms off complete bikes

Pretty much my perfect/dream bike now, feels weird cos its so solid though. Im used to rattly flexy pieces of shit

Also my sunday as it currently stands (needs normal grips on it, and a rear hub rebuild)

this year i am going to have sex and it will be awesome

What sorts of things about having your seat that high do you prefer?

seat is for sitting on

brake mounts, i wanted to try fronts a couple of years back. even though im not running them, theyre the same as r25s which is what id buy if i got new forks anyway.
doesnt bother me having mounts and no brakes, and means i can chuck a brake on easily if i get the urge again

hmm.

i dig this!  throwback/modern meld ish?...

oddly enough, i don't mind the high seat and huge bars. they work together.

not sure on the primo Viking clamp tho... crazy overkill there. maybe try a polished primo single bolt clamp instead.

ive always had a high seat, for those who dont know im 6'6. tall bars are better for me too (i still wish there were narrower options out there though)

i had a polished single bolt primo clamp on this frame originally (the one on the sunday) but the seat kept slipping, so rather than buy a new clamp i just put my viking on cos i knew itd be up to the job.

when i first started out riding in like 02-03 i used to have to spend roughly an hour fixing my bike each day after school before i could go riding. some of the parts on this are overkill for how much i ride now, but my bike is super reliable now, no matter how many ledges i bash it on. can just throw it in the car and go for a ride, no pissing about

No, I'm just taking the piss on it. When I ran my seat that high back in aught 3 I could pinch my seat and some silly suicide feebles.

Haha as a matter of fact I do sit down feebles w an essentially slammed seat just to add that element of freestyle.

nah wish i had got the chainstay crimped like his though, my sprocket is real tight. its annoying cos the gap between the tyre and wishbone is massive (about 1") so thered have been plenty of room to make the wishbones a tiny bit longer and get more clearance on the sprocket without the tyre jamming up. you can actually fit a 22" wheel in there theres that much extra space

according to Steve Crandal its at paint, looking at the very least another 3 weeks(mostlikely another 3 fucking months!), but his chucking in a PMA stem and a few other little bits .Its proper starting to annoy me now , have almost everything else apart form the pedals and back wheel but no fucking frame!

I ordered it from Radbmx shop, it has nothing to do with the shop i ordered from , apparently the UK batch have not arrived yet?
