Etnies Maranas and the Rap CL/CM's have treated me well. All time favorites were the OG Number lows, but these are pretty close and they are available in more "normal" colors.

going against popular consensus, but i cannot stand those vans where the sole goes floppy and folds round the pedal. i tend to stick to nike sb.

Adidas Gazelle did it for me. Superstars are even better sole-wise, but they're super ugly.

Nike Janoski are a decent equivalent to Vans. The Nikes hold up far better, look better, and have a plethora of colours to choose from.

of all time: orchid vandever

my etnies number low treated me well although they looked very tatty after only two weeks, functioned as a shoe perfectly well though. i dont think they are made anymore though.

my last two pairs of shoes have been emerica heretics and emerica hsu both have been great, a really stiff sole.

Probably these, although I got some dubious looking Nike Renzos from Sports Direct towards the end of 2011 and they're still going! They look horrible but appear to be indestructible. I run a brake but also commute in them so they've been used a lot.

Barge LS is pretty nice.  Kinda like Vans that don't shit the bed quite as fast.

RVMs are my favorite, but they are getting hard to find.

Any of the thinner Vans. Authentics, TNT's, chukka lows.

would rather watch the olympics if i want to see a black guy jump things, least they don\'t have the mentality of a beaten 13 year old.

Lotek Brooklyns and Troops were the perfect riding shoe but these days... Adidas Busenitz does me fine.
