I decided to 4peg it up so I threw my plastics on the rear and went for a shred this afternoon. finally iced this weird ledge I've been trying to get for a while, oppo grinds that use the rear peg feel proper weird though. got a flat eventually but it was getting hot and a bit muggy anyway

been getting pretty consistent with my go-to tricks and one by one I'm knocking my to-dos out. learned feebs and pegs to reg 180, feebs to tooth (sorta). want to learn proper straight tooths down hubbas at some point. also wanna get luc-e's & nollie pegs in the near future

You could nollie pegs in 5 tries, bit of speed and commitment. Weird feeling but easy.

Coming from someone who doesn't grind.

Rounded the hex socket in my fly fork bolt. Who's bright idea was it to use 6061 for a damn compression bolt?

How can you strip something that requires 10-15 ft-lbs to tighten?

Cut down my 200mm Fit post to 125mm so it fits my Benny frame.

Called up empire last night.
Ordered items to get my intrikat at least riding

Still need a Thomson post, 22mm profiles+SD sprocket. And find material to have my pegs turned at work.

DK post and 175s will suffice

Still waiting for my custom to get here. So for now my bike is just a box full of parts.
The weather is finally decent so hopefully it gets here soon.

The way this bolt fits with the tree stem I'm running, you're fighting the clamping force of the collet while tightening the headset. It's not Ideal, and I probably should have just shaved a mm off the OD when I got the stem, but alas, I didn't. Either way, it still seems pretty stupid to use 6061 for a bolt.

Shouldn't you tighten the compression cap before there's any force applied from the stem?

By shouldn't I mean you should.

I very well could be confused though.

You are correct. The preload bolt should always be tightened before the stem bolts. Especially on a collet stem.

The fly bolt is bigger than normal, so it doesn't work properly with a collet stem. Instead of pressing on the actual collet piece like it should, it rests on the very edge of the top half of the stem, and thus compresses the collet slightly while you're adjusting the bearings. It's my own fault for not simply turning the bolt down a little, but as I said, it still seems pretty stupid to use such a soft material for a bolt.

Just got a new éclat fork off eBay and I'm working on getting an oz seat also. The weight of this fork is good since my bike felt light as fuck the last few days I threw it around.
