I plan to pick one of those up, or make one myself.

Unless its been changed, the bearing seat depth is called out at 10mm, if I remember correctly. So taking that into account, the spacer is the correct width. Are your bearings flush with the shell or are they sitting below the face by 1mm?

What did you use to install the bearings?

POF making them wouldn't surprise me. The AR15.com billet lower is the exact same as the Magpul, too.

POF doesn't make their own parts. Quentin used to mill them, if I'm not mistaken, but as of right now they do not have a mfg. AR15.com licensed the "design" form Magpul, and is THE same lower aside from engraving/logos. Magpul made their own lowers in house.

Most badass lower around is the AXTS AX556.

I was wondering the same thing. They definitely don't work the same as a standard bushings. Surprised they didn't use bull barrels instead.

From all the research I've done and @ tea eff letters I've read, the lower must have specific engraving in order to sell.

The gray area is what defines as a manufacturer. That's what nobody can figure out. How many lowers being sold considers you a manufacturer, how often and so on.

I can legally make my own lowers as long as there is no intent to sell. And if I do want to sell I need to engrave a little info and go thru an FFL as a PPT.

This was an 80% TM Lower. Milled the FCG and drilled the selecter and trigger holes.

Americans are insane why does it matter if you can't carry a gun in a coffee shop?

Should I lock it up outside with my bike?

I'm sure you're referring to the Starbucks issue. Starbucks is pro 2A, not anti. Its not an issue with us complaining we can't do it, its an issue with the Brady bunch complaining we can. Huge huge difference.
