Hamilton is hands down my favourite rider. Any ideas if he will get picked up by someone else? Skateboarding has this culture of revering their heroes and pioneers and bmx seems to sorely miss this.

most of the riders i know who arent daft appreciate hamdog. look at this thread as well, its just the real young riders who missed out on hammy at his peak who dont understand

my best mate reckons hes like the tom penny of bmx

for $10 i got an odyssey evo 2, and cable (both gold) and a lever. for another $10 i got a chrome 7ka (48h obv), a brand new fit tyre, and a maxxis tyre (gave the maxxis to a mate). when i can be arsed to lace the new rim to my ratchet, my bikes gonna be dialled

haha no worries, i was looking at all winstanleys sale stuff cos they usually have some random old stuff up on there which theyre flogging cheap and i remembered you said those were your favourite bars. bargain for 20 quid, should still be warrantyable too if you ever bend them (though i doubt youd get a new set of those these days)

The last bars i ever really felt comfortable were Odyssey Civilian Highs but i bent them & had to throw them away in the end (before i really knew about odysseys great warranty) Over time ive got used to slightly wider bars, not a great deal wider than the Civilians mind, so 26" feels perfect to me. I think there are 2 or 3 handle bars under 8" now-a-days too so custom seems like the only way really.

winstanleys allegedly have them in stock still for 20 quid. id ring up before you order though cos theyre notorious for listing shit they dont have in stock

Yeah, even delivered it and gave me two maxxis maxxdaddy tires. haha. I might paint the frame gloss black and do a black/chrome build like i've always wanted

oh shit maxxdaddys as well, jackpot. i like the tan frame tbh, tan and chrome is a classic combo

I've seen a dude do this to a Hazard Lite rim by clipping the corner of a ledge real hard. He rode it for nearly two years after that just fine.

my mate bought a second hand wheel with a gsport rim that had been clipped like this as well (not as bad as pats mind) but yeah he rode it for ages with no problems.

i had to take my gland off today cos its ruined. i landed on the edge of it a couple of times when grinding a square rail and it bent a bit, and one of the holes where you tie it to the wheel pulled through. since then the rest of the holes pulled through as well and the whole thing got bent over and totally fucked which is a shame. had a good 7-8 years use though, gonna have to buy some new ones

photos? I don't recall ever seeing anything, but then again I'm horrible at consistently following BMX.

I do agree with the manual-barspin comment above though. See 'simple' tricks or 'simple lines' is sometimes a breath of fresh-air compared to the mass.

2009 slammed seat no pegs, basically did tbogs and footjams

yeah hes good but i still enjoy watching guys like the animal crew riding street more, can tell by the spots they find and lines they do that theyve always been riding street, not got real good at park first then made the transition to street riding now that its got real popular again.

whatever though, at least were past the sub 20lb bike, lets all just do footjams phase.

no one will ever come close to emulating hamdog though
