The Bike Shop / Re: U brake jams up / does not spring back

I now tried several brakes, sanded the mounts etc. What seemed to help finally was sanding the white powder coated rim which seemed really sticky, with residue of clear pads etc. . I think the problem was/is the kinematics of the SS brakes and the high friction between sticky pads and rim.

Hello guys!
So I bought an used cheap bike for my wife (Mirra Blend) and the seatstay u-brake does not spring back after being pulled hard. The springs are well adjusted and in correct orientation. Cable tension releases too. Brake arms are not touching each other. Tried the stock Tekro brake as well as a AD-990, almost no difference. It seems too me, that the arms jam up on the mounts. I have no idea how that can happen and I've never seen that in over 20 years of BMX.
Any advice?

In Salem we only rode some Backyard pool and went to Lincoln City from there and then down the cost on HW 101. Then back east to Grants Pass. #gypsyroad12 on Instagram.

Trip has been great so far! We checked out all the good parks around Seattle and Portland, and hit PDX Trails. Today we are at Newberg park.

I have size 12 shoes and ride the Grandstands, before i had Odyssey Trailmix (sealed). So far i really like them. Only issue i had so far was created by myself when i overtightened them which made them lock up because of the friction on the locking nut.

Wow, thanks guys. This will definitely help a lot! For the Glory Hole we need a boat, right?

Hi over there! A bus of germans will travel from Seattle to LA in September. I'll be in the US for the 1st time! So excited!
We'll rent a one way RV for 3 weeks, ride trails and bowls and do a little sightseeing. Do you have any hints what we should not miss? Is there a decent spotguide online where i could check out some sweet bowls on the way? Do you know nice trails around the coast we could ride? We are not afraid of shovels of cause!
I'm really happy for any advice!

Definitely Fly frames.

I miss my v1.5 Pantera. I should try to find a 21.4 version.

Had a sparkle grey in 21.4 and it was incredible

Retired my sparkle grey 21.4 half a year ago. Never gonna sell it. Awesome frame.
