The Lounge / Re: So, lets talk about Garage Ramps!
« on: October 21, 2015, 11:00:30 PM »
I've had some small ramps in my day.

Remember, a four foot transition will go to vert at four feet. that's pretty damn tight but can be fun/good for peg stuff. But it doesn't leave much actual transition to land in. Airing it can be sketch.

A five foot tranny, on a four foot tall ramp gives you more to surface to land in but is still steep enough to do peg stuff.

food for though....

Plastic would be fine for me but I only ride dirt...

LOT'S of flat pedal options. I have the DMR Vault's. HUGE, pretty thin, great grip. expensive.

Welgo MG-1's.

$40.00 bucks on Ebay. Pretty damn wide, dual concave. Light weight

No idea about the pedals you listed, they're too expensive, IMO.

YES. as well as arthritis in my hands. Last week I hit a dirt jump and my hand blew off the grip upon landing.

I would suggest against surgery. I've never known anyone that had 100% good results from it.

Stretching your fingers is what I and others have found to work well for CT. Bend your fingers up towards the back of your hand and hold it for a minute. Repeat. Go gentle....

The thing that works best is to not use my hands. Not really an option though.

When I broke my Fly cranks I replaced them with Odyssey Thunderbolts. Couldn't be happier.

Post a pic of your setup. Springfields are good brakes but if your straddle cable is super crazy short they may have issues.

You ridding a CCR or the new Fit frame?

My cable stop is a hole in the seattube so i had to make the straddle cable short.

I read that part.

So your cable hanger is on the other side of the seat tube, near your tire? making the straddle cable really short.

Can you adjust the cable hanger so it pulls against the straddle cable more to the left/right (opposite to the arm that doesn't return)?
