80's tough kid throwback. beat them, up and ride the trails.

2010s smart kid option:

Go to the land owner, get written permission for you and your friend, and have the other guys arrested when they trespass onto the trails.

go to the land owner and get shut down...

2015 smarter kid option.
take the two strongest/smartest/most dedicated trail builders and find a new spot.
dig 4 days/nights a week.
tell no one.
roast.

one of the best bikes I've ridden was purchased with a 60mm fork (mtn bike). I put a 100mm fork on it and rode the living shit out of it.

So, if it works for ya, go for it.

22 front/20 rear ain't new. They came from the factory like that in the late 70's.

I have a bad back. Haven't been able to ride in about 5 months because of it. I had back surgery about 7 years ago. I know about back pain.

I don't know how this set up would do anything for my back. Seems like the front end would just be super choppered and slow feeling. The distance between the pedals/grips would be the same as a 20 inch front end. just higher up. Seems like taller bars would be better for a taller stance, for ones back. ?

I do have the parts to do this though so maybe I'll throw it together and see how it feels. Although I'll only be able to pedal around the 'hood. No bunnyhops or anything.

real nice.

If you did win the sticker contest, shouldn't you have a CYDI sticker on there somewhere?

it would mellow the head tube angle a lot and raise the bottom bracket.

It seems like it would be wonky but he seems to rip it up just fine.

Good question.

What is the statute of limitations on abandoned trails?

I say if a place has been abandoned ( and not just left tarpped up for the winter) they're free game.

It sounds like the kids that came back are acting like a kid with a toy. They play with a toy until their bored with it, then when someone else picks it up to play with it they act like it's their toy and they were still playing with it, etc.

I can't say who is right or wrong in this situation but running trails are far better than non running/abandoned/plowed trails.

trails rule.

7.25 on my Liquid with a top load.

Or Slams with an inverted top load...

Any taller and it felt too loopy.

They came up with a solution to chain rub years ago.

Mount the brake post on the seat stays.... ;)

kurt ,
Let's get an update on these things. You got pics for us?

does the hanger flop around and hit the frame from lack of tension?
