3/16 Chains

(1/3) > >>

metalbmxer:
Was watching some of the older road fools (6 namely where Freimuth kept breaking his chain) and got to wondering when these officially fell out of favor. Anyone still running one?

Would be a cool throwback with kink and profile now remaking some of their OG sprockets

Prodigal Son:
I broke my 420 chain as much as I break my shadow chain. I think the 44t diameter was a factor in hitting the chain as often thus the frequency of broken chains.

LeonLikesToRock:
They were like a shit chain but bigger. A good normal chain (510HX) would last me longer. 415 and 420 (bro) chains still stretch, they don't have mushroom pins and they proper fuck your cogs and sometimes drive side seat stay. Believe me, I held on to that trend for fucking years after it was cool and as soon as I made the switch to a good normal chain it was better in every way.

Dr. Steve Brule:
They were good at grinding holes in seatstays, not much else.

montymitch:
The best part of using motorcycle chains is that they just look awesome. I had a blue Taj with chrome Profiles, a kink 44, and the biggest chain I could afford. Chicks practically threw themselves at me.
