Anyone know if/when there will be 170mm Thunderbolts?

I've got a gold mankind headset that I would like to strip.
I made the assumption it was annodized aluminum but after soaking it in Easy-Off with no change to it, I googled it and found it it's some sort of alloy, unsure of what metals though.
Does anybody know what it would likely be made of and what to use to strip it?

Dilute caustic soda crystals should get it off. Dunno who this is, but like this. Rinse it pretty good after.

Yeah I came across that video but have had a hard time finding caustic soda/lye/sodium-hydroxide from any stores in Canada. I managed to find one spot but it's a huge amount of it for $20. The search continues.

It's drain/sink unblocker, should be in any supermarket. I got a tub to do pretty much and entire bikes worth of parts for £2.
