anyone know what size allen it uses?
I thought it was 5mm but my 5mm dont fit

Yours is too big or too small?
Could be a 5.5mm or american size.
I doubt it's a 4.

Then it's probably American.
Edit: I think it's 3/16's. Does your allen key say 5mm or did you grab it out of a metric set/draw? I do that at work on occasion.

i don't know if this helps at the moment, but your best bet is to just take it to a hardware store and try a bolt in the hole until you find one that fits.

It's a 5mm. I have my five in it right now. Threads are 6x1.0

yeah, i coulda sworn it was a 5mm.. i think i may have fucked it up somehow... any idea how to remove it, anyone?

Bluemeat, why does your name have an e at the end?
Cut the bolt in half through the slot, the head will pop off unhinging the lever, you should then be able to unscrew the rest of the bolt with pliers, or by making a slot in it and using a flathead.
