My back hurts (midschool content)
« on: July 31, 2017, 01:03:38 PM »
I posted this on the ol' Instagram (@pnwpedal if you care to follow me) but some of you bastards on here may appreciate this too.

I bought my Ebco ELF new in 2003 ("ELF" = Extra Long Frame, 21.125 with a 72 ST, so 21.25 effective... Long for the time). After getting into MTB I sold it in 2005 to a local MTB guy who wanted to get into BMX. He kept it all these years, and contacted me when he wanted to get rid of it.

The bike needed a full rebuild as every bearing felt like shit, as well as a few new (old) parts. It's such a smooth and solid feeling bike but the 30lb weight makes my old man back a little unhappy. It's still worth it.  8)

(Pegs were added after the pics were taken).

Ebco ELF
Heavy old Pitchfork
Slam Bars, Longnecks
Challenger Stem
Muthafucking Solid headset
Profile race cranks, random MTB pedals
Primo Hula Hoop/Integral wheels
36t Ebco, 13t Odyssey FW
Man Party brakes, Tech 99
Primo Balance Seat, random post/clamp

Thank you gentlemen, these frames were already rare in the PNW (made in Eugene) and I couldn't imagine that too many of them made it to the rest of the country. It's a different ride for sure... Modern tech moves need not apply.
