Bike is almost beautiful but Jesus Christ those spacers

I ran ahead a bit and hid, dropped my jeans and took my top off and started chasing them whilst spraying beer all over them and making weird noises.

I wish I could do without those spacers but they designed the bike with a tiny head tube. because I am not a contortionist able to ride my bike with a bars dropped a foot below my saddle height, you will have to tolerate the presence of spacers.

I finally got a bike to replace the Peugeout I had here in Switzerland. It got hit by a car while parked and mangled the frame and wheel.

Saw this beauty and had to take the chance at owning a slice of Swiss history. Built in Switzerland from Columbus tubing, legit old race bike. 1985 so far as I can tell, came with the original registration card and a pair of leather crochet gloves. Very legit. All Shimano 600 Arabesque components, but it had tubular wheels on it. Not ideal as I'll be leaving it in my girlfriends possession when I go back to Vancouver. For now some donor wheels, and it gets an extra gear so no fuss. Might build up some clinchers on the old hubs.

oh balls. Not sure how or when this happened but I guess it's time for a new tyre. Are conti GP4000S still the best all rounders for the money? These have lasted me thousands of miles so I'm inclined to just get another set.

Yeah GP4000s are spot on. I've got Vittorias at the moment (because gumwall) but it's only a matter of time until they get a big slit and I go back to my old GP4000s.

I've always done em pointing backwards, it's easier to undo than the other way into the frame.

Quick release levers should intersect the frame and sit slightly aft of the fork. Backwards for aero timetrialling.

panaracer gravelkings (not really a gravel tire) are fairly durable and very well riding all around tires. they come in nice sizes like 26 and 28 too. i just got some rivendell (ewwww) roly-polys for free fiddy and they are surprisingly awesome too. not sure id pay 50 bucks for em tho.

i know everyone loves contis but i suggest you taste the rainbow. theres a good amount of well riding and well wearing tires out there.

Pay day treats! It's having a frame and fork colour change towards the end of next month. I've seen the new CAAD12 and it's really tempting, so if I change this one to a colour that I like I won't splash out on one of those.

decided to sell my look frame and build my c50 up with modern parts again and get a c40 for my half retro build because colnagos are just lovely and fit me like a glove!
