LARGE TIRES
« on: December 09, 2014, 08:56:34 PM »
Do you guys ride big tires like the 2.4s ? I am going to pick up some tires and I've only ever rode 2.25 infront and 2.10 in the rear but it's getting harder to find tires that are smaller in size. I know there are odsy paths and I have the kink tires right now but I really want to try the new volume vector tires but they come in big and bigger and the ramperas are hard to even get at the moment

Cant go wrong with some Animal GLHs. Pretty sure they still come in smaller sizes.

Seriously. If you ride a lot of street or do a lot of grinds, they're perfect but if your neither of those you could probably get away with something lighter.

The Odyssey Hawk tyres are really popular. I like mine.

Thanks you guys I find it harder to ditch the heavier treated tire for the slicker tires like the Hawks or even the volume tires.

I ride Tioga streetblock for a couple of month (folding version 2.25 front /2.1 rear). Never had any problems with them

I have 1.9 Tioga on my bike. Seriously fast. But I mostly ride it in dirt, might not recommend for street.

I run Rubens, 2.35 front and 2.15 back and it's the perfect set up.

GLH deserve a mention because they are one of the best rolling and best looking tires ever. They just happen to be way heavy. I wish they still made the GLH-R.
