FBM Orphan
« on: November 13, 2014, 09:16:57 PM »
After being without an FBM for a couple of years it was time to bring it back home.

Geometry is exactly what I wanted. Feels solid, and more than that FBM rules.

We got a slow session in at the trails right before the snow flew a couple of days later. It was better than nothing, and I can't complain because we had killer weather, and digging all summer.

Goodbye Subrosa. You were a great bike.

Now time for RAYS!

Did you paint the subrosa?

The Orphan as well as the Silva 2, is on my short list of "what frame will I buy next" list.

That is the silva 1. It came in that flat white color and chrome.

I loved the frame but the brake mounts would come loose all of the time. Apparently the 2nd generation had better brake mounts. I honestly loved the subrosa. There isn't a lot of bikes that have melower head tube angles, and low bb's anymore. But the orphan was calling my name. Welded mounts on the fbm sold me.
