put on fresh brake pads, rode some trails and hit up a park after.
I'd say it was a successful fun day in all.

Went to ride it and a 40mph wind kicked up.
Not a big deal but I only ride it for commuting nowadays. Glad I didn't though, by the time I was off work it was pissing rain.

I finsish building my V1 Stricker and took it for a short ride too shake every loose and adjust the headset 3 times. A few things i'm going too change over time. 33/10 gearing once I get a new right Primo powerbite arm , and some black bars and a stem

Finally fixed my headset issue where it would still move even though everything was tightened up. Cleaned out the layers of dirt and re-greased everything. Buttery now.

Speaking of headset, my buddy has been having headset issues for awhile now. Comes loose all the time.

Started chatting with him about it and he says he needs a new star nut, as the one in the forks keeps pulling up.
Told him that doesn't really do anything to keep the stem tight over time, just a set bolt.

Started looking at it, pinched stem and tapered/crushed steerer tube.
Serious fucking injury avoided, dude shreds and I cringe thinking of the million times that could have gone really fucking wrong.

Snapped my chain. Hit my knee. Pretended like it didn't hurt. Fixed my chain.

Made it feel like new: impact pro headset, fly polished bottom bracket, odyssey k-shield brake cable, longneck grips, some lube on chain and ordered an animal glh 1.95" for the rear.

Spent 3 hours yesterday de-rusting it. Woke up today and it's orange again

^ lol precisely why ive just painted mine! WA is no place for raw metal. Black lacquer on the forks and metallic black frame now.

If youre gonna keep it raw maybe hit it with a rag and light coating of wd40 or motor oil when you get done cleaning it up.

Finished building my V1 Stricker the other day. Still going too change some parts Going too put a 33T Tree on as soon as I order a new 180 powerbite arm. Get some black bars and a black stem on it too.

I want Sean's funday. I liked my green one and totally forgot why I sold it but it was dumb. In other news I'm waiting on my albes package from a couple months ago so I can get back to riding my bike. I've been thinking about running pegs but everytime I look at them and put the tools in my hands to put them on I just say fuck it.
