swapped out the BB bearings from the spare bike to my bike because they were newer.

Filmed a bit with my buddy, then went home and put a knight hubguard the left side of my marmoset :). Then packed my headset with grease and tightened my chain.

Build up a new frame and added a new backwheel

hugh. we have some stuff in the shop. you know, having a rider owned shop within commuting distance could be handy at times... if it's 48 hole stuff you're looking for, i'll have a look tomorrow and since it's not exactly popular, i'm sure we could do you a deal dude. just ask you lunatic...

It's only a front hub that I was looking for off someone else. The only ones that seem to be  possible to find would be gsports and that's still pretty difficult. If you had a ratchet or v3 cassette in 48 I'd happily snap it up once I get a bit of money.

i dont know why people ever stopped running 48s, oh yes thats right when everyone went all pussy about the weight of their bikes a few years back. glad thats over and done with, i hope 48s start to get popular again so companys start selling them again and theres more choice. i know so many people who are fed up with 36s, especially on the back.
yes, some people are fine with 36s but there are plenty of other people who just trash them

48h rear is pure win. 36h is alright on the front to be honest.

On a similar wheel-related note...just got hold of a Proper Micro-lite to replace my fucked seventies hub...how does Bikeguide rate these hubs???

yeah ive been running a 36 in the front for a couple of years now, only time i had problems was once a few spokes broke, more broke soon after. ive been running my current hub and spokes for like a year, and grinding both sides witout guards and not broken any spokes yet.
both my rear 48s are a bit thrashed though atm, each missing a few spokes but still straight enough. i need to buy some more in 184 to patch them up
