what will a gun do if you're working when someone breaks in?  you've got me confused

No sorry what I meant was that when I get home and leave for work I have to get out of my car to open and close the gate which is when I'd be most vulnerable. I'm not worried about people breaking into my place, that shit is on lock down lol.

Yeah it is a great site, but open carrying is just not worth the problems that it causes.  People are retarded and freak out when they see someone carrying a gun that shouldn't be.  I have a place up in forest county by eagle river, and I wouldnt mind OCing up there, but anywhere south would be a big hell no.  Its not worth the hassle.  Flexing the second amend rights have their time and place, and the cause needs people to get in trouble for it, but I don't feel like paying for my 2A rights in court fees.

Well coming from someone like yourself who is a big gun advocate I will take your advise and not open carry. It seemed like a good alternative to CC which is illegal for me. I guess I need to just ow the fuck down lol.

Good choice. I love my sw40ve and have heard nothing but good things about the M&P series. Smith and wesson really stands behind their products and has excellent customer service.

Yeah I've heard lots of good things about them as well.  My L.E.O. friend has had an M&P 9 issued to him for a little while now and he absolutely loves it.

The sigma/m&P/Glock are almost all exactly the same.  The Sigma just has a rough trigger, M&P changes back straps and a better trigger, and the glock is made in another country.

Nothing but good things to say about the M&P, and sigmas with a trigger job.

http://www.krem.com/news/local/Shooting-at-Pacific-Plaza-Apartments-in-Spokane--101450959.html

That happened not far from my home. My fiancee works with a woman, whom has a son. He's a friend of the shooter and was there when this happened. Apparently the shooter is currently living with this woman and according to my fiancee, she's pretty distraught about all this.

The world is a crazy place.

And that's why we called it Spokompton.

Judging by that guys voice I'm guessing he was screaming like a little girl when it was going down.

A friend has two XDs (sub-compact 9mm and regular .40) and has never had a problem.  I own an XDM .40 and its been flawless.

Solid guns.  Like posted, check out XDTalk for anything you want to know.

I bought my gun through an online broker and had it shipped to an ffl dealer. Naturally I choose the cheapest, only $20 where others were 40-50.
When I showed up to the address listed, it took me to an ice cream store. I called the guy back and got no answer and I had no idea what was going on. When I finally got a hold of the guy I asked him if they moved, he said no he was running it out of the basement. The guy is a fry cook there. Nothing seems legit about it and it was all real hush hush to keep it from the customers since it's in a ritzy part of town.
It had to of been one of the more awkward things I've done, going into this restaurant and asking where I can pick up my gun.
So pretty much anyone can sell guns then I guess. It'd be an easy business to be in right now. The guy has no overhead, all he has to do is call me in to make sure I'm not a felon and he gets paid to be a middle man.

Ok so for $200 I can be a middle man and sell guns out of my house. Seems like a decent part time job.
