It's my brothers, pretty sure its a Tula, 1942 I believe.

Pin fell out of the box mag, so he took it off and we just using it as a single shot tell he fixes it.

I hope to pick up one and a crate of milsurp ammo sometime soon, cool gun and so cheap to shoot.

Would it be legal for you to modify it to take the 30 and 20 round AK mags?

A semi-auto center fire rifle in Canada has to be pinned to only take 5 rounds, so it would be possible but only have a 5rd capacity. Semi-auto rim fire rifles can have unlimited rounds though.

when i was in calgary i met this dude who was telling me there is a loop hole to that. if you own an ar you can use ar pistol mags and use 10 rounds because they are pistol mags that happen to work for rifle.

They don't have designated AR15 pistol magazines though...they are all the same.
