also a coworker offered to sell me a steyr m40 or m140 .40 for 300 plus the other transfer fees... anyone know anything about them?

this will be my first gun purchase and i know nothing or very little about guns. so any advise is appreciated.

the steyr m140 is off list so if you wanted to sell it later down the road you could get more for it.

the rossi 351 is off list as well. so you can order that offline. you can order a 352.
With internet or any guns sales what you will pay is a dros fee of 25 dollars + what ever the gun shop wants to tack onto it. it should be like 10 bucks.

since it is cali the gun will be sent toa FFL01 and you will have to wait 10 days to "COOL OFF" and then on your guns 10th day in jail you can pick it up and shoot the fuck out of it. OH also you need a HSC.http://www.ag.ca.gov/firearms/hscinfo.php
Its a lil test that pretty much says hey im not a fucking idiot and can own a gun. that will cost you 25 bucks.

i stumbled upon a ruger mini 14 ranch at big 5 and looked them up is the model with the removeable mag ca legal? or only the 5 round model?

while i was trying to find info on the mini 14 i also found the kel-tec su16 ca which i know is ca legal and has a removeable m16 style mag. anyone ever shot one? is it worth 600 bucks?

I cant stand kel-tec stuff. even though it uses ar mags. and yes ruger mini 14 and mini 30's are legal in cali.
best thing about both guns is that if you have pre ban 30 round mags you can use them in the mini 14 and the kel-tec. No pistol grip and no flash hider and no forward grip. Sloth Pm me any questions and i can send you links to make sure you understand everything.

here gun restriction is huge, but at least i can plink some birds with this:

it has 1000fps average depending on the pellets.
