and people like that don't fuel that fire?
these is also a huge article about how the gun banning scare in the US is actually being brought on by the gun companies to get everyone to buy the guns they wanted now. I'll see if I can find it.

Wow, I didn't think you could just sell guns at a garage sale.

Private, person to person sales aren't illegal.  For now at least.  When people talk of the "gun show loophole", they are talking about private sales.

My grandpa and I have bought many guns at garage sales.  Its not like they have them out and are selling them.  You need to know who to talk to and how to ask.  You go to garage sales where it looks like an old person has died and their family is selling their things, normally they want to sell them because they don't have a gun card and they don't have use for the guns.  Or you just ask old people and they normally have old guns in good condition.

Person to person is legal in Illinois.  It is illegal to sell someone a gun that doesn't have a gun card, but I'm not sure about someone selling it that doesnt have a card to a card holder.  Either way the guy we got them from last night was selling his fathers house and wanted to get rid of them because he had no card, so they were essentially illegal for him to own.

Gun people: I'm looking for a pistol for concealed carry/taking to the range. A local pawn shop has a Ruger P95 for 325 dollars. Good deal? Bad deal? It looks pretty well used.

Also, what should I be looking for when checking out used guns?

I'm lookin at gettin the Springfield Armory's XDm...I held one before deploying and liked it better than the Glocks.  Also looking at pickin up an AR style rifle.  I have so many attachments that I've "acquired" through the army that it'd be stupid to not have one.  Although I'm looking at gettin a 308 model and not the .223.....although I mostly know military specs so for us .223 is 5.56 and that's what we fire and I want what would be the equivalent to the 7.62 which I believe is the 308....I may be wrong but that's roughly what I want.

Neckbeard...that is the heat...what a deal.  A clip fed mossberg...prepping for armageddon?  Haha I would have jumped on that too.

There are slight differences.  Google "7.62 vs 308" and read around.

That said, my 7.62 NATO chambered M1A fires factory .308 ammo just fine.  Should be the same with any AR10.
