Yeah my pentax battery last for ages so I don't think that matters, I just bought a ep-1 with a 20mm pancake 1.7 lens, Leica vented hood and a leatherette for it, it's going to look so retro, but yeah I bought it exactly the reason jfax just said, 35mm is good, but I don't think it's worth all that hassle for holiday snaps, when I see a decent opportunity my pentax will be straight out. I'm planning on travelling next year, at some point I'll need to charge stuff anyway. I'll take film and maybe buy film on the way, I do hate X-rays, knowing your photos could be shagged.

My battery is good, i got one of those external battery things for cold temps. They are good with super sharp lenses, crap for close focus, so quiet it feels like you haven't taken a photo. Fast with the meter too. built sucks and wears easy. also good luck at focusing at night.

Let me know how you get on with the rangefinder.

I personly don't like mine, I use my pentax 67 way more, feels like a real camera, cheaper, and just as sharp.

fe2 is still manual but it has aperture priority as an option as well.
fe2 is electronic (needs a battery to work) while fm2n is mechanical.

might have to get one afte a while, rather use that than the canonet not sure in into Rf apart from the size.
