The Bike Shop / Re: About Rebuilding a v1 cult coaster
« on: September 04, 2017, 08:44:51 AM »
Hej Thiarry,

Cant help you with the guide, but I think there should be ones availible, otherwise try email cult.
The Cult v1 coasters had a lot of driver issues. If you ride your guard on the inside of the drop out I would try running without or getting one that attach on the outside.

Still go on often, not as often as I used to, but still.

Never post though...

I replaced mine with KHE ones when my broke.
In bmx they are quite standard I would say. Talk to your lbs and they might be able to sort you out with something that works for less than 19 dollars.

Whenever I fly budget the charge seem to be the same for bikes and golf bags. When flying major airlines I havent had to pay.

I have it and it has a good build quality. Only thing annoying is the structure. Only the bottom 20 % of the bag has a plastic cover that makes the bag flex like hell when you roll it. Not sure if the Odyssey one has more structure.

The Bike Shop / Re: Shorter Cranks
« on: April 07, 2017, 06:07:58 AM »
When I started riding I only rode 180 mm as that was what I thought I "should" be riding being 6.3".
I later on went down to 175 mm for a long time until I started playing around with the street/flat hybrid-trend and got 160 mm.

I have been riding 160 for 5 years now and love it. It is harder to crank but your feet are closer together which I feel help when doing tricks and carving around pools and vert ramps.

The Bike Shop / Re: Pivotal and Tripod specs?
« on: April 03, 2017, 05:28:31 AM »
Pivotal is, or at least used to, be patent protected. So I doubt they would just give it out for people to use without contacting them first for licensing.
Dont know about Tripod. Are people using tripod systems? I have only seen them in ads, never seen anyone riding it.

I havent seen anything being mass-produced yet. However, strong tyres, heavy duty tube and chalk between the tube and tyre would make the setup nearly non-punctureable if you keep it at high PSI.

Hope odysseys 48t crank is better than the old one. I hated mine.
Im also a bit confused to the the hub range from odyssey/gsport. Vandero, Anti-gram and Rolloway? What are the differences and why so many?

It says Patent Pending. Elementary should be already patent protected.

I would assume that if you buy them in bulk from a chinese factory you would have to buy tons of them.

Dude gets s&m to make everything else, but not these?

S&M might not be interested in doing something that small and conceptual. But I agree, if they would then it would make much more sense.

The Bike Shop / Re: folding tires wobbly?
« on: December 05, 2016, 03:58:22 AM »
I think they might be more wobbly at lower PSI due to them not being as structured as wire-bead tyres. I always run my folding tyres at max PSI. Lower than max PSI and they wobble when I ride vert or bowls.

Quite some time since I heard someone trying extreme methods to lighten his/her bike.

Friend of mine rode his profile cranks backwards for years. He just kept a wrench and tightened them hard, didnt even need loctite in the end. Think it should be ok with strong loctite, welding seems a bit extreme.

BMXers that are into their bikes more than riding and that got busted knees is what Bikeguide is all about.
