I see your point but must disagree. If the geometry of the bike is the result of an conscious decision of the rider to give his or hers bike the feel that he desires, then fine by me. I feel that the often considered akwardness of four pegged riders tables is due to how these riders' style tend to be like. I feel like these riders have a type of "stiffness" when it comes to riding, as in that they can send a wild street combo with ease, but when trying to turndown or table it just comes out akward.

When it comes down to aestethics of the bike and riding I must say that the by far worst thing is riders who embrace the MTB scene more than BMX. Nothing makes me cringe more than a MTB style rider setting up a BMX and riding it like an MTB.

I do agree that peope ride too wide bars. But if you watch old videos the small bars look retarded too. Look at old Josh herrington vids. Its kinda up to proportion I guess.

And I know the number of pegs is sans.terres signature topic, but come on.

I can imagine that switching your pawls over and changing the sprocket to LHD (if you were on RHD) and doing some racing or hard brakeless tiretaps would eventually make the ring come off.

I still cannot in any sence, besides Commercial, see how using a alu driver would be a good idea.

Cool thread, would recommend.

Anyway; I hated the way BMX looked back in the Days. Everything is so much smoother and well done today. I Think of Robbo´s and Castillos manuals and they were just pure boring, looked like they didnt have to make an effort for it (which is probably true). And nose wheelies a while ago was just a slow descent while falling from a nose bonk, not a manual as people are doing now.

I realised that I am currently not on folding tires. I had to change mine and decided to try the KHE puncture proof tires. Basically the same as the street folding but with extra wall thickness and not folding. They are great but a tad heavier. Want to try the webb or Lacey tires though

The Cult, Primo and Shadow are all what most people would define as KHE-esqe coasters. On the paper I would say Cult is the best, but as GUMP_´s post indicate I have seen a lot of them fail.

I am myself on a Federal v2 which hold up good, they were the first to give their take on KHE´s design. Ive also ridden a bunch of KHE coasters that hold up well.

If realiability is what you are after I would just go for what has been used pleanty and is not too new, most coasters that come out have some issues for the first batches.

After the raging success of the Demolition alu 9t driver the world turned to darkness and chromo drivers ruled the world. But fear not! Colony thankfully decided to bring back the golden days and released this

I dont really like Adam either. But I just dont read anything he post or follow anything he does anyway, so he has no impact on my world of BMX. People should just stop care, that is was BMX is to me, no caring...

I would rather refer it to using an disposable camera for a studio shoot and calling it art when its just crap.

Not sure if I would call it bias, just being waaay more careful of what to say, which in some cases is good, but it Went over the top on some other.

Still love the concept of the site, would just enjoy if they could post more stuff, not just the new frame of the week from the "standard" bmx companies.

More likely, I can see that. But do forks really fail here? I cannot recall seeing a fork failing here.

My local shop got it in stock and on the Envy. The guy working there is Another, like me, FC geek. We both concluded that the drag and noise from the hub is bad, very bad, when backpedalling. I thus decided against it.

Is your example okay?

I have been riding for some 14 years now and even though I have quite a good insight into BMX photography I know almost nothing about videography. I have Heard of VX but never understood what it was, your article and post cleared that up, thank you.

My stance is that BMX videos from the past was videographically utterly horrible. I gave the The Make edit you posted a go and remembered the old style video feel, and remembered how far we come, it was so bad. I have absolutely no understanding for the urge of keeping with VX, it is horrible. And bad fisheyes need to go away from videos.
