The Bike Shop / Quick Questions
« on: January 10, 2012, 07:58:49 PM »
Help me, I must be retarded.
I seem to have lost my pedal wrench so I'm trying to take off the pedals with a ratchet with allen key attachment from the inside.

For the left pedal, the ratchet should be set at loosening clockwise or counter, and vice-versa.

These pedals are either on there way too tight or I've gone mental.  Reassure me.

Edit: I'm certain I'm doing this properly, Orbs must be the even stronger than I presumed.

The Bike Shop / What did you do to your bike today? (v2)
« on: January 10, 2012, 01:42:30 AM »
I bought an entire bicycle, then went to tenpack and got some pedals and stickers and other free crap.
Some of you are aware that a few months ago I went to the hospital in an ambulance after breaking my ankle riding by myself.  Within hours of the parameds locking my bike up to the closest rack it was already stolen.  So needless to say it feels really great to have a bike, even though I still can't physically ride it.
A bunch of my bmxfu homies got all their spare parts together and were able to give me a really good deal.  So thanks to the FU and Orb's Garage I'm rolling again.

I've got some black pedals, going to strip the chain/stem/headset and I think it'll be good.  I'll do a bikecheck once all that stuff is done.

A general help thread for questions/concerns that you don't feel warrant their own thread.

I made this zine with 100+ photos I took of my awesome summer.
Most of the photos are in the -HL- link below.
They'll be for sale this week depending on how much it costs to get more printed.  Probably like $5 shipped.
PM me if you want one.

Ah, my mistake.
Thanks!  But yeah, I was really just interested in that one feature to be honest, so I'll pass.

I've always sorted wanted one of those since you can shoot 1/2 of full frames on it.

Listen dude, you need to stop complaining about school and not being able to take photos.
It seriously isn't hard to do both.

Thanks Luke!

So I've been thinking about one of those or a GF1 recently since I could use my nokton on it with a mount.
How is it?

^^ I've used that set-up for a couple weeks at a time a few times.
The smootheness of advancing the film in the camera is amazing.

Is the difference with this and a fm2/n that this is auto?

fe2 is still manual but it has aperture priority as an option as well.
fe2 is electronic (needs a battery to work) while fm2n is mechanical.
