What about those dk posts on ebay?? They seem cheap enough and long..

I saw those but I'm not the biggest fan of that style of seat guts...

Is it the flat/matte finish?

Mine slipped too, I had to take sandpaper to the stem and bars. Solved the slipping for me.

Talk to James (Farva, aka Native bikes) and see what he can put together. I'd definitely do some Murrican stuff while down there and have a good time.

Sell and Swap / WTB: Long, railed seatpost
« on: February 08, 2015, 09:16:55 PM »
I need a 25.4mm (standard bmx size) railed seatpost. It needs to be decently long, at least 200mm. Something like an Odyssey Intac would be cool, or even a Thomson if the price is right.

I'm flexible on color and condition as long as it's in reasonably good shape. Black paint fixes everything. :D

Thanks!

80's tough kid throwback. beat them, up and ride the trails.

2010s smart kid option:

Go to the land owner, get written permission for you and your friend, and have the other guys arrested when they trespass onto the trails.

go to the land owner and get shut down...

2015 smarter kid option.
take the two strongest/smartest/most dedicated trail builders and find a new spot.
dig 4 days/nights a week.
tell no one.
roast.

Your option actually makes sense compared to my smartass response.

Looks interesting. That setup worked somewhat well on MTBs but was mainly used to run a fat tire (2.8-3.0) in the rear, while keeping a similar diameter to a regular front tire (2.5-2.75).

So nobody has permission from the owner?

If you're all digging illegally, it would be best to get along to avoid killing the spot with drama. Bring the other guys a six pack, be cool with them, and get everyone on the same page.

Private property or public? Who has permission, or are you all digging illegally?

I'm guessing that FBM buys their steerer tubes pre-threaded from their tubing supplier...

And G: thank you for putting the work that you do into your parts.
