The Lounge / Re: Chromebook Users?
« on: February 22, 2015, 03:58:42 PM »
I've had a Samsung Chromebook for a few years. It's good for web browsing but that's about it. Viewing PDFs works well enough, printing can be a bit of a pain to configure but it works okay. Google docs will never take the place of the full MS Office Suite but works in a pinch.

TBH, his welds have room for improvement...

(No, I couldn't do better but I have professionally inspected welds before)

I just looked at this Laird guys site...

What I saw: Generic designs, decent quality (I've seen better), cheesy laser cut plate bridges, and welded seat clamps on everything. No thanks.

The Bike Shop / Re: Yakob/Merged article on tyre size

I read the article when it was posted, the main point is "bigger tires are bigger, companies suck at labeling/measuring tires, geometry can change by changing variables that affect geometry."

It didn't seem worthy of a thread here IMO. I'm sure some bmx kids found value in it though.

So he is basically saying that some of the strongest frames over the last 15 years... are now the weakest? I'll take wishbones and tube bridges thank you very much.

Maybe you should find a new frame builder.

Pulled off my seat and post, figuring out the replacement.

No riding for me lately due to an annoying knee injury though. :(
