Bike Gallery / My back hurts (midschool content)

I posted this on the ol' Instagram but some of you bastards on here may appreciate this too.

I bought my Ebco ELF new in 2003 ("ELF" = Extra Long Frame, 21.125 with a 72° ST, so 21.25 effective... Long for the time). After getting into MTB I sold it in 2005 to a local MTB guy who wanted to get into BMX. He kept it all these years, and contacted me when he wanted to get rid of it.

The bike needed a full rebuild as every bearing felt like shit, as well as a few new (old) parts. It's such a smooth and solid feeling bike but the 30lb weight makes my old man back a little unhappy. It's still worth it.

Bike Gallery / Tea (One) Time

Please excuse the somewhat lame British pun, though I do drink a lot of tea so tea time is all the time for me.

I have always wanted a British Racing Green Barcode, so after getting my seat recovered and tanwall tires the timing was right to spray bomb my Morsecode green. 30/10 gearing got kind of annoying so I bumped down to 31/11 and used the opportunity to buy a Keychain. The other changes are to the seat/post, tires, pedals, and brake cable.

Shoutouts go to CMB, Wrecked, and Milhouse for parts, and Farva (James @ Native bikes) for the seat cover. Thanks guys!

The Bike Shop / Odyssey Race Linear cable

Has anyone ran one of the newer "Race Linear" cables? I've been asking around but I can't seem to find any real reviews or opinions about it, other than that it's lighter due to Aluminum strands in the housing. I bugged G but he runs Quik Slics, and the guy at Full Factory had no idea.

I'm curious about stiffness (lever feel) and any potential tradeoffs with the lighter housing.

Sell and Swap / WTB: Long, railed seatpost

I need a 25.4mm (standard bmx size) railed seatpost. It needs to be decently long, at least 200mm. Something like an Odyssey Intac would be cool, or even a Thomson if the price is right.

I'm flexible on color and condition as long as it's in reasonably good shape. Black paint fixes everything.

Seriously, this shit is causing some problems. Page renders are bad, forced refreshes, refresh after every quick reply...

And we still have the double post issue happening daily.

Can we please turn off the snow and see what gets fixed? Or at least give us an option to turn it off in our settings. Thank you!

How about a minimum post count for noobs to start a new FS post in the classifieds? This prevents people from registering only to sell their shit and encourages actual interaction. I've seen this on a few other forums and it works well.
