i'm with ya, the standard has been upped for sure. Slam size bars look small now, but that's only cos everything else these days looks so out of proportion. I hope they do an OG sized version of the GTs, surely they'd sell a shitload to bmxmuseum heads, then there's everyone who rides scerbos, etc. though I suppose the amount of kids buying the big ugly new ones will be higher

ever since ben/dude mentioned new GT bars in another thread i keep checking ben ward's instagram

unfortunately it appears they've gone full retard. OGs vs new ones...

in comparison to big4s vs OG scerbos

looks like they've gone too big to please the kiddies

ha, i could've guessed so just felt like taking the piss. the thread is about deepening the slot a tenth of an inch, of course use power tools if you're making 10mm into 14mm

funnily enough my frame only has 2 dropouts

if 2.54mm is a lot of metal then you all need to learn to use a file

They have been doing these bolts for a while.
why does everyone moan about wobble ive had 5-6 profile hubs and didn't have may problems.
i haven't had 5 or 6 hubs since 2001 when i started

profile is dogshit indeed!

bmx dropouts aren't hard to file and .1" is fuck all. if you have the gear go ahead but files from a discount shop will do the job

edit - don't get me wrong if i was at work i'd be using a die grinder/rotary bit. i'm just saying its easy to do with the basics and the lad would make a mess with an angle grinder by the sound of it

you don't need a grinder to take off that much, just buy a cheapo set of files. piss easy and you won't fuck your frame up.

mark it out so you've got lines to work to. after that you'll know when it's even by standing the bike up on it's bars and checking your tyre clearance either side
