I heard it's a 52 inch print of Laz doing a bunnyhop. Obviously it's not big enough to actually have Laz in any part of the picture

I think my highest hop is pretty fucking close to that.. so a picture with the bottom of my tires at the top portion?

I guess the background was nice enough to print haha.

I have an Animal poster of Steven Hamilton moto-whipping on my prayer side of my room.

He probably has a screenshot of your 360 attempt down El Toro on the prayer side of his room.

Eclat abandoned long standing standards so they could increase handlebar strength in an area that handlebars never fail. Why?

I cbf finding out what you are referring to, but if they've increased clamping area diameter, their thinking might be to reduce torsion fatigue around there. At the cost of it being easier to crush the bars out of round...
Yea thats what they did. Bars always break at the bend up near the grip though. I have never had a pair fail near the stem.

Volume Mad Dog bars, Fit Benny L bars and Shadow 13b bars are yhe only bars I have had break at the bottom.. two being overseas made 4 piece bars.. doesn't seem like an issue but whatever.. expensive options for whoever may need it.

I don't mind if they are 3/8 or 14mm or what offset they have, they can be ugly, dented, whatever as long as they ride fine I'd prefer something that isn't stock but I won't complain.

Nothing cracked or raked out, cheap is a plus.

Offer up!

Laz is fucking rad
He goes higher than Hoffman
Fifty two inch hops

Hoffman is actually my son,  my hops are so high that the altitude keeps me from aging.

Maybe I should add this to my social media rotation again. I don't ride BMX too much any more, mostly MTB these days. Trying to get back into trials too.
I just ran into one of your friends at Chico skatepark the other day..

June 25 2004, just over 13 years of the little blue site with the shadiest bunch of people on the internet. Bikeguide needs a revival.

Edit:Going through super old PM's and got back to some pretty in depth things with Brian Itzania. Shame that guy left the way he did. He used to work for Masi bikes, and it turns out years later I'd be working to distribute them. BG works in mysterious ways.

Yeah its crazy to think about how many people from here Ive met and ridden with over the years... Brian being one of them. Unfortunately all things, both good and bad, will come to an end. I enjoyed the so called "hayday" of bike guide and I'm sure a lot of others here did as well and to me it will be something I never forget! This place pretty much got me working on my own bike and eventually to the place I am in today.

Speaking of,  it was awesome to meet you and ride Brookhurst..  Also thanks for the 120* tall can and sorry the other one got so hot that it blew up in your car hahahahahahaha!

Edit* actually that was Donald but you were there rocking the front brakes so at least it's something we can all remember and laugh about..

Is Ken still doing bike parts at all?

Did the fork break too or just the frame? what parts?

roughhh

Frame only, it seemed pretty clear that the frame had cracked around the top tube before this and I hadn't noticed.. The frame broke as soon as I got on the rail and I had almost no control so I basically just plummeted into the ground,  the frame was like 5th hand and well abused but I cracked my BTM frame the month before at the LA Convention Center ledge so I made a deal for an Aitken s3.5 that I had for less than a week..  It was my fault for not paying attention to old abused lightweight parts though.
