The Bike Shop / Re: Tire pressure
« on: February 17, 2017, 05:44:28 PM »
I run about 40. I used to run 90 or 100. Then I only had a hand pump for a few years and got used to low pressures. Anything higher than 60 feels gross to me. I don't really ride ramps.

Bearings are probably fucked. Are you still travelling a lot? for some reason my front hub sometimes does this after a flight but then go back to being fine.

they only have the 1/4" allen broach available now. I talked to Profile shortly after posting that and they mentioned the batch of of 6mm broached bolts they made were over heated during the heat treatment. This made them brittle and they are no longer available. I did find my old Blue6 5/16-18 bolts so I will probably end up using those for the 6mm convenience.

Bummer! Anyone have a spare set of B6 bolts kicking about?

I've taken 11 Greyhound buses thousands of miles, and in my experience nobody gives a fuck about anyone or anything.

I am pretty sure you could piss down the isle and people would only bat eyelid if you weren't hissing a manly stream.

Why couldn't you use a cardboard box?

cardboard boxes get well fucked in transit.

That contraption looks fucking ridiculous.

I've only caught the greyhound once and they didn't give a fuck about my sketchy looking bike in a dufflebag. By the sounds of things I might've broke the bike down a bit more than you though.

I didn't make the cut for the first batch. Put my pre-order in for the next batch.

On a bolt related note, does anyone have a link where I can still get the 6mm broached Profile 5/16-18 bolts? Can't find them on their site or any of the mail orders.

Does anyone make imperial thread with metric heads like blue6 used to? Will the profile ones fit?

The bikeguide #1 question, 1/4" or 6mm key?

The thickness of the wall will make it feel squishy, not the bead. The reason those or most tyres are light is because there is a fuck all meat on them. Try some regular weight tyres.
