The Lounge / Re: Death penalty (re; Bali 9 executions)

Everyone knows the death penalty exists over there, so why would you do it? I wouldn't kill them for it, but if I had a law that said I would and some stuck up foreign cunts decided they were above it and that their lives were worth more than local lives I might change my mind. I think it is OK for them to get killed. I would have no issue with Corby copping it either. I'm usually a lefty and used to be against the death penalty but I really don't get the sympathy for the kind of people you already don't want in society. Another Australian heroin trafficker died a few years back in Singapore (I think) and there was a fucking candle light vigil for the cunt in a few major cities. Never seen someone stoked to see a heroin deal go down in front of their house (with the exception of junkies), but apparently a lot of people love the guys a few steps up. I like China's death penalty. Firing squad and then the family has to pay for the bullets. It just makes more sense than an injection.

It's their law. I don't think Indonesia should back down to Abbot. I certainly wouldn't want us to change our laws for them.

Let's not forget the FBM PW Moto when they came out. I also recall the Sunday Ian being very popular.

FBM #125 from when Spooky Dave was still working there.

21 3/8 tt (rides just over 21 because of the laid back post), 75 regular ht, 69 st, 14" cs 11 5/8" Mid bb, 10mm drops, 9.25" SOH. Chainstay plates. .049" on the chain and seat stays. Chain stays taper from 7/8 to 5/8 and seat stays taper from 3/4 to 5/8. I think it is 1 3/8 x .042"ish for the front end, it is straight gauge supertherm from what I understand.

Custom Solid

2005 21.25 Killing Machine with mid BB and integrated headset. Most of the specs were the same as the Killing Machine but it has a 71 Seat tube angle and no hole in the seat tube for cable routing. I ordered dropouts that met flush with the peg but were regular length. I think the back end is around 14" maybe 13.75".

The Bike Shop / Re: Yakob/Merged article on tyre size

It's a totally valid point that you don't like that generic shit is more popular than some more out there/innovative designs - I'm 100% behind you with that one. It's the question of money that I disagree with. That slice of pie is smaller and smaller. I'd find it hard to believe that anyone would bother putting in work to compete for a place in a flooded market with no interest in the sport. There are easier ways to make money. Even though I'm not into Stranger I don't think it is just about the $$$$$, they seem into what they do and try some new stuff product wise. If everything we see on TCU made $$$(sweet dollaz bro) every kid would be on a Stranger and wearing an OSS shirt.
Cult is obviously very popular but I think it is well deserved and not to be put on the same level as more generic companies. I can totally get why you're not into it - it's not for everyone.

So how about them tyre sizes?

Maybe the rider asked for it like that. Not everyone has been riding long enough to remember welded on gyro tabs.

The Bike Shop / Re: Pedal design devolving?
« on: February 20, 2015, 01:40:41 AM »
I think a good and affordable PC pedal is an evolution from expensive and shitty metal pedals. I paid way too much for some primo tenderisers when I was in my early/mid teens and then they literally fell apart on me after a short time (not even on my grind side). I think my first set of Odyssey PC pedals outlasted my sealed Stricker pedals.
If you want high quality metal pedals, they're still out there - especially in the mtb world. I wouldn't want to grind on them but I've got some Canfield Brothers pedals on the MTB and they are the shit.
