^ lol precisely why ive just painted mine! WA is no place for raw metal. Black lacquer on the forks and metallic black frame now.

If youre gonna keep it raw maybe hit it with a rag and light coating of wd40 or motor oil when you get done cleaning it up.

Took off opposite side pegs since I haven't been using them lately. In the process I noticed my (front 2, out of 4) alu. pleg inserts were cracked in like 4+ spots... scary. The (monkey hub) washers had warped so much they were kinda in a cone shape and the female-style bolts were actually pulling the washer inside of the hole on the alu. insert, basically wedging the hole open causing it to crack apart. Coulda wrecked ma face pretty good I reckon.

Amazing the amount of retired service members/Veterans I see in Lexus and Nissans etc....

Looking into a CC for everyday use and obviously my first place to ask would be a BMX forum...

suggestions welcome, 9mm or .45 should be ideal.

Same

In the 9mm realm; I was looking at the Taurus Slim (not the TCP). Anyone have any experiences?

Yes that's fine. More important is spacer thickness as you mentioned. If you haven't; remove the bolt, how close is the spindle to contacting the underside of the bolt? you dont want the spindle to bottom out on the bolt. or the bolt to bottom out on the spindle however you want to think about it.

I've been carrying a CRKT Crawford Kasper daily since last September and it's been awesome. The law here in Washington has recently been changed so assisted opening knives will be legal by June. After it goes into effect i'm thinking about picking up a Gerber 06 or a SOG Trident.

I remember wondering about this... glad I didnt get in trouble with my Kershaw Leek

Pretty much^

We've always rescued dogs, but we're not trying to make a fashion statement like a lot of the idiots with their tea-cup dogs. These people will NEVER hear about or let a lone SEE a "puppy mill" I bet you.

Dressing up ANIMALS in clothes is fucking DUMB

Why are some people acting like $40 for that guard is so insane? Normal aluminum guards are $25, United had some alum guard with a steel insert for $35 even. I think my old Mutiny guard with the steel piece was like $30... so for a 100% heat treated 4130 guard, $40 doesn't seem unreasonable. As long as it isn't made too thin, it should more than make up for the cost difference in longevity.

Well then guess thats why I grabbed my FBM second hand.

See, there is no description on dan's, & just now there is a picture. So if it is true 4130 & heat treated that explains it. I just figured it was mild steel.
