AR guys - any recommendations on reasonably priced optics?

Want to get something for my AR15.  All I'm running right now is the rear magpul flip-up sight.  Looking for something decent but doesn't need to be crazy money.  Durability would be preferred.

Hold off, save your money, and just buy an ACOG.  Great optic for an AR, IMO.  Especially the 4x magnification for "mid-range" and out.

Can't find anything else much more durable.

That thing is legit.  I've used one of those composite handled Gerber axes and they are pretty nice.

Shitty.  Places will get closed down if they continue to get trashed.

Pro-tip:  Set the junk you shoot (TVs, bottles, etc) on a tarp for somewhat easy cleanup.  Wrap up the junk in the tarp and go.

FWIW, I do not shoot monitors, TVs, glass, and such.

Picked up a couple boxes of Federal American Eagle for practice and a box of the Federal Hydrashock hollow points for actually carrying.

You may already know this but run some of those defense rounds through your gun as well to make sure there aren't any feed issues with the hollowpoints.

Maybe in the south. last time i checked you couldnt just roll in. they do alot of just custom stuff and sell shit super over priced. 1500 for some bullshit DI forged shitty Ar's. you can buy or build nicer shit for way less. that being said that show is really false.. take a look.

there are alot of people saying that guy vince on the show actually owns the shop now.

Even before the show they were a "by appointment only" type of operation.  A friend went to them to get something done.

Will, owner of RJ, seems like a good dude from what I've seen on the local forum.  As always, TV shows are hyped up and only select things are shown.  As for the loss of FFL and all that I haven't been keeping up so I don't really know what is going on.

Right on.  I've used Wideners before with good luck.  My buddy is a big wholesaler and has been out of .223 for like two months.  I fucked up waiting so long since the rush is def starting.
