Good o'l sherline.

I'm running a Craftex micro mill which is about double the size of the sherline. If I were in the states I wouldn't hesitate to order something from Grizzly imports. They've got some nice stuff.

CNC Sherline 2000. Perfect size for sprockets, and other bike parts as well as a lot of gun stuff, knives and tools. Mainly have it for proto stuff. Small enough to fit in my house along with my Grizzly G0619 mill and G0602 lathe. Sherline is a local company and mostly made in house. Great little machines.

The part I'm cutting in the photo is a proto AR lower...

Speaking of slings... Anyone have any experience with the Vickers?

Majority of Kimber issues can be traced to the magazines. 1911's in general are picky about magazines but Kimber's moreso than most.

Friend of mine just got one, mags were all shit. Swapped to Wilson mags and helped but the slide release was also causing feeding issues. CS was decent. Its a known issue so they sent him new parts at no charge without asking for originals to be returned.

Mine was the synthetic/stainless, was 260 or so out the door. Replaced the barrel with a Green Mountain 20"BBL and stock with a Hogue Overmold. Sold the original stock and barrel for $60 on CalGuns.

Took the AR and SuperNova out with Super_Chief on Monday. Both ran great. Trip was cut short due to the sun going down, but well worth the drive.

Went to Rifle Gear again today to drop off a barrel I threaded for them
Planned on picking up a weapon light, but the line was out the door again.

Not a huge fan of SureFire but looking into one of their Scout weapon lights. I know they are reliable, but the price, I feel is too high and they look like shit. I know that isn't important but if there are any other lights that can run the SR07 Switch for less that are reliable I'd love some suggestions.

Speaking of 1911's. I got home yesterday to find a package from Farva on my doorstep. I made a recent order of printed bags for my NME knife & Tool bottle openers but no way they could have arrived that quick. Opened it up to find a handmade leather holster with the NME logo pressed into it. This is by far the best package I've received. Thanks again!
