Just pre-ordered a 80% 1911 .45 from Ares Tactical.  Turns out there machine shop is about 8 miles away from me and they do multiple build parties a week there...

Alot of people are pissed about them advertising build parties on the radio and agreeing to do a news story on them.

That and their Rudius paperweights are out of spec, so good luck. They seem to have nonstop issues with their mill/setup/operators. Heard about quite a few AR's being milled out of spec at their build parties as well.

I've tried using all 3 spacers that came with it and it still rubs. I'm not even sure where it rubs. I'm using the WTP headset which is similar to the eclat. I'll just buy a new FSA headset soon and it should work fine. I've had the wtp for like 2 years already anyway.

Did you ever figure this out?

I'll trade you a G27 with ammo for it.

Are there drop in conversions? Do you need a ramped barrel to switch back and forth?

May need to be ramped since the feed ramps are different. Ejector and slide stop are different too. May be more work than its worth but training with a Glock, as you know, is drastically different than a 1911.

All this talk about 9mm.. Going to buy a glock 19 or 17 but not sure. Pretty much only going to be used for pistol class since I don't want to feed my 1911's

Why not just fit a 9mm slide/barrel on the 1911 you usually shoot? The grip angle and lack of similar controls isn't going to help with training.

Its going to be cheaper than a new gun, you won't have a ten day wait, you hate Glocks and while somewhat blasphemous (9mm 1911) you can shoot the 1911's more.

Most of those you need to feed them high velocity in order to cycle.

The only good part to owning that was that you milled the grips off.

Probably one of the sketchier things I've done. "Hold this side down while I mill over here."

If I were buying a .22lr pistol I'd get a Ruger 22/45 or GSG 1911 22

There are always shells and cases, as far as you can see. I've never seen this much trash though.

A man got shot while we were out there as well. He was about a mile behind us on the other side of the road.

No problem with keeping a shotgun like that while you're at home, in bed.

My first time with a table. It was slow. Saw Couch and helped get a new hand guard on his pistol.

That is again for the help.
