I have a local gun store/short indoor range called shoot straight.  This week the fourth person in two and a half years killed themselves in the range.  It is super weird that it keeps happening and makes it a little uncomfortable to shop there.

first incident was a crazy mother who shot her son in the back of the head point blank when he was at the firing line, then killed herself.  God told her the end was coming and she didnt want them to have to see it or go to hell.

after that people started going there to kill themselves.

I am going to be buying a pistol in January and I am kinda torn between 2.

It will either be a Desert eagle 50AE

Or a 1911.

What are good 1911 company's? Obviously colt is one. I did find a colt 1911 legit for sale. It's used and selling for $700. What about spring field? or Taurus? I found a 1911 Taurus for sale for $650 new. Not sure if I like the look though.

Thanks.

never shot a desert eagle but i dont know if the .50 is going to be as much all around fun as the .45.  the desert eagle will cost more and will cost more to shoot.  I a biased though, i am a big 1911 fan.  Colt is good, so is springfield. If you have the money it would be cool to get a kimber.

The ejector usually has a tang that sticks off the front. I've seen some real short ones but that looks way too short...

Can you take a photo of the ejector area from the top?

yeah, ill take one tomorrow.  It isn't a Colt. It is a thompson, the ejector on my norinco looks different.
