Sheep should just sign the forum over to someone, or at least update the software, might stop the hundreds of spammers signing up on a daily basis.

Being that a few of us still pop in to check Bg from time to time, I gotta ask...

Sheep, Kurt, whoever else is involved... Is there anything right now to worry about like domain or hosting lapsing, forum software issues, etc.? Even if Bg never pops off again it's cool to see it survive in a usable state

None of the big boys ever pop by anymore, I still delete spam as a force of habit.

There's 100s of spambots signing up every day, it's a shame they haven't done anything to make it more difficult for them.

When you say you see a lot of e-bikes in mainland Europe, are those commuter hybrid bikes on the roads, or e-mtbs on singletrack? I thin e-bikes in the city are brilliant but I don't get the e-mtb thing at all. It seems antithetical to the spirit of mountain biking for me.

Pretty much solely e-mtbs, mainly hardtails too. All the commuters were still on regular steel city bikes / hybrids for the most part. I was on the road bike so only really saw people on the road or close to it but everyone looked like they were heading to some trails. Still, interesting to see, as they still don't seem that popular in the UK.

When you go riding in mainland Europe e-bikes are EVERYWHERE, I genuinely couldn't believe it, you rarely see them in the UK.

I haven't had a MTB in years but quite fancy one of those slack hardtails you get nowadays, they look pretty fun, something like the Pace.

Last year was a write off, a stupid crash ended up with a broken rib and hand. Then I ended up with a frozen shoulder so been going physio for that, and finally had a septoplasty (nose) in February, fingers crossed everything is ok now, was on the bike Sat and Sun with no major complaints other than my general fitness. Shoulder might take 2 years to be right but doesn't seem to affect me on the bike.

You could always try sticking 18 inch wheels on a 20 inch frame as long as you don't ride brakes.

This kinda makes me want to put 20 inch wheels on one of my cruisers just to see what it feels like...  Or even 12 inch wheels just to go to the extreme end with it.

Pedal strikes would be a nightmare.

Sarpanitum - Blessed be my brothers.
This is about 9/10 for me. Never heard of them, but it ended up to be the first death metal album I've bought in years.
Not the most technical nor best produced ever, takes a while to really get into, but then, ah, bliss.

If anyone knows other stuff like this, please post.

Blood Incantation are the best DM band I've heard recently, Starspawn is a tremendous album.

Which discipline of bicycling does this happen the most in where it actually makes a difference? Novel concept nonetheless

It'll be for road cycling, probably to eliminate road buzz and get a smoother ride.
