Man, maybe its just the picture but those slots for the zapstraps/shoelace dont look deep enough. It looks like theyre going to be a part of the grinding surface, rather than sunk away from it. I know theyre not static and move with the wheel, but a couple good hits on a ledge is going to shred/break the shoelace/ziptie.

Plastic pegs+plastic hubgaurds slide way better than chromo pegs and guards in my experience. I don't know what kind of sticky plastic guards you've tried there laz....

G-Sport and BSD..

I could never ride plastic pegs consistantly, the two that I've had were nearly fucked after less than a week.

My BSD guards have always slid like butter, but I guess i understand about the pegs, as Ive definitely killed a plastic peg in a single ledge sesh before.

Man, I feel for you guys. I have a 2.4 tire with eclat brakes and still have a ton of clearance. Sorry, I'll leave.

2.4 (I assume steel bead) tire in the rear? You must love that rotational weight... ;)

Gotta look cool for the kids yo...

In all seriousness though, I dont really notice it. I dont like when my bike feels too squirrely, because I'm squirrely enough as it is ;)
It tables just fine. Plus, it looks badass. Isnt that what really matters? The answer is yes.

I just ordered a soundwave and the guys at full factory told me they rarely get warranty calls on them.

Really though, what did you expect? "Yeah, you fuckin shitbags break these things all the time...".

Of course theyre going to tell you they're awesome. They're trying to sell it to you.

*this is not meant to be a dig at FF or Sunday. Nor am I implying they are lying to you. Soundwaves are great. Unless you're Laz apparently.

Speaking of HTTPS and MITM attacks, this is a bit random, but if anyone out there is into tethering a phone or tablet avoid the PDANET app at all costs
What's wrong with using PDANET?

I am curious as well. I used to use it cause my computers wireless NIC sucked.

Mine wobbled. I got new bodies, they came with new O rings. I doubled them up, it fixed the wobble. I haven't been able to ride them yet though, so we'll see how long it lasts.

The Bike Shop / Re: Alu drivers - they are finally back!
« on: February 12, 2015, 11:12:43 AM »
every time you pedal and the hub engages, the ratchet ring is getting threaded tighter and tighter into the shell. those things are not designed to come out. also id be really hard to get a good purchase on it to turn it the opposite way and unscrew it because of the slanted ramped bits for the pawls to ride over.
finally that replacement ratchet ring looks like it is also aluminium, which will get torn to shreds by those steel pawls.

all in all colonys r&d department must be the dumbest of any bmx company, unless im missing something here

Im pretty sure I saw a tool from Colony for removing the ratchet ring.

That one is for the Clone though.

That's gross anyway, half of it is just his body twisting
Jason Enns is the man, thus nullifying your opinion of his invert.

anyone making 22mm ti spindles?
Profile do, but you have to use their wack 10mm bolts on it. What the fuck Profile? All the weight savings of a ti 22mm spindle negated by having to carry around an extra fucking allen key.  This shit makes me bitter, and I dont even own splined 22mm cranks.

So the stampy put out x to compromise whatever fork, there should be a fucking trade in. Had these forks for 1/2x get a rebate or 3x get 1/2 rebate.

My forks seem solid, but they've been there for 4.5 years of weekend warrioring. It's time to replace them as: theoretical x < experimental x. When Lx=Ex death seems next.

It's funny to me that people actually buy into Stampy. How much do you think Odyssey paid to have a sticker slapped on someone's machine in a factory that makes every other brands forks? Notice how you never see the face of the person? It's so you don't see the tiny little Asian factory worker. Makes me laugh that people assume Odyssey is made in the USA. That's almost disrespectful as isnt G from the UK?

I agree with your first sentence. The rest doesnt make any sense though. Who really thinks Odyssey stuff is made in the US? Also, according to a post from G somewhere else on the forum, the guy setting up the forks in the machine is an American white dude...

I just take it with a grain of salt, as anyone can make a video of some forks on a press, throw a bar graph over it and say "ours win". Its not that I dont believe in Odyssey forks, but the source of the video is a little biased. This kind of stuff needs to be tested independently for it to really matter. Whatever.
