I have a bachelors in furniture design, currently studying architecture and working in a bike shop (mechanic). Architecture is what I'll probably end up doing, but it'll take a few more years.

Promised myself not to buy another bike this summer, but again I found myself working in a bikeshop. This one happens to carry Santa Cruz, so here I am buying bits for a rigid ss Highball. Should be fun.

This probably interests only the homebrewers here (if there are any anymore), but might aswell post it. It makes beer!

I finished my e-BIAB brew rig some time ago. 33l kettle, PID controlled heating element and SCR for boil control. Constant recirculation with pwm controlled pump. Diy false bottom.

I used to make these 10 years ago, they worked really well (I would custom make each one to fit the hub perfectly). I still have a smaller one on my rear hub. At first I used zip ties, but they broke instantly, so I just used some shoelaces, which lasted years.

Holy shit that Mini build is awesome. I love their dry British humor as well.

I try to have a bottle of something around, usually they last me around 3 months. At the moment I have a bottle of 10 year Talisker, it's okay but not my favorite. Caol Ila is my favorite cheap(ish) scotch.

I know purists will see this as sacrilege, but I recently had a bottle of some american "craft" bourbon, and it was one of the best hard liquors I've ever had.

Just bought my old Campillo back. Lovely frame, nice proportions and really lightweigth.

Not much considering I've been riding since 2001.

Mirra 540
Dragonfly DFX
Factory Of Madness (some german mailorder had these made, cheap, heavy and the dt cracked all the way around)
Fly Pantera (first gen. with us bb)
United Trinity
Fly Campillo
Fy Mosca

Now in the process of buying the Campillo back. The 19.8" Mosca is just too short.

How long is the rear end on a Sunday Wave? I need a longer frame and could buy one of these for about $90.

Awesome!

I've been doing one footed manuals on my way to work lately. I'm slightly nervous about full speed downhill manuals without brakes after having brakes for 13 years, with one footed manuals, you can just put your foot down if you start to loop out.

Nah, with the time it takes to make a pair, the price would be outrageous. Also I'd probably have to do at least 10-15 pairs before the quality of the shoes would be anywhere near good enough. There are a lot of actual aspiring shoemakers out there, I'm just a student who likes to make stuff himself. The same goes for other leather stuff. There's a guy here who is really good with leather, check a few pages back, he posted a leather backpack.

Haro Mirra Air 540 (or something like that)
Dragonfly dfx
Factory of Madness something (weird german company)
Fly Pantera
United Trinity
Fly Campillo
Fly Mosca (19.8", always rode a 21" before)

And I've been riding for over 12 years. The only frame I broke was the Pantera.

I was going trough photos on my camera and found these ones of a table I made for my brother. He lives in the countryside in an old house (110 years old). Those types of houses traditionally have a big living room/kitchen, and in the middle of that space is a big, very sturdy table. I made a modern version of those old tables. Like with most of the furniture I make, it can be assembled and taken apart without any tools. The photo is from my parents house. The material is spruce from my dad's forest, half a mile from where I built it. I also made a bench with a similar construction, but I don't have photos of that.

I also made a table for myself some time ago. Again, flat-pack construction, no tools needed.
