Me likes! Colour is lovely.

So rather than painting the Orange I might have got a good deal on a Transition Bottlerocket............oops

Orange & Marz 55s have now been sold and picking the transition up next week, coupling it with a pair of dual air revelations. I know the Bottlerocket maybe an odd choice from the Orange but there was something about it that just drew me in.

How it is at the moment.

I quite like the idea of camouflage, would be tricky to get it looking good though.

I need a new colour for the Orange. Fed up of the raw/pink combo and I'll be pulling it apart to replace the bearings and paint the fork lowers black.

Give me some ideas....

She's a beaut.

I rode Cannock again this morning. Was only a quick ride so only did follow the dog. Love the last few sections, fast and flowing with some drops which really suits the alpine 160.

I managed to get a couple of rides in before going away last week, sherwood pines & Cannock for the first time.

Cannock highlighted an issue with the forks which I initially thought was a loose headset, I've got a rattling when the fork is under very light load & some slight movement on the stansion which is making me think the bushings are a little worn. Got my eyes on a lightly used set of lowers so I can just swap out the lowers & see if that solves it.

You may want to route the front hose inside the fork leg. It offers better strike protection and it's "proper" so you won't be harassed by the PinkBike crowd.

I'm not a fan of Orange frames, but that thing looks pretty good. For some reason, I think I'd like it even better if the front triangle were pink, too.

Thanks dude, didn't even think about the cable routing,I'll rectify that.

Yeh upper and lower cliff descents are great, for me there is far too much climbing on the monkey to make it enjoyable. Next time I go by myself I'll just do a couple of loops of follow the dog.

Planning a couple of days at bike park Wales in July hopefully.

What did you reckon to Cannock? Second half after the bridge and road is my favourite bit.

Loved it, no way I'll be going to pines again. I need to improve my fitness considerably as I was dead after both loops. The alpine suits the downhill far better than any climbs!

Stopped to check everything over while doing a loop of sherwood pines this morning.

Rides really well, although the forks could do with an oil change I think so that will be on the cards when I get back from Sweden in a couple of weeks. Off to Cannock on Friday as well.

Fitted black superstar riser bars. I think if the fork lowers were black it would look alright.

I think half of the appeal of an Orange frame is the ugliness... But if you ditched the white bars and lowers for black (or painted them) it would clean up the look.

I struggled to find these forks with black lowers, so they would have to be painted. I've enquires about having the swingarm powder coated to match the front triangle. Then black bars maybe, I'm gonna see how the flats feel, im not convinced they are going to be very comfortable anyway.

Get some mud on it

It'll have mud on it next week ;) just waiting for some shorter chainring bolts and a new Derailleur barrel adjuster then she can get out.

Pretty much finished. What would you guys change, I can't help but think it looks a little on the ugly side.

Everything arrived today so I got her 99% finished, just need to get the hoses shortened and swapped over (currently European config) & get a new barrel adjuster for the deurailure then she's done. Steerer will get trimmed to suit once I get the height sorted.
