As sad as it sounds, I can't jump dirt when there's some deathly deep gap in between. I wish people would build like this more often.

That photos kind of deceiving. I took it from the smaller side of the trails where the gaps are main filled in but the otherside has full on gaps between the lips and landings, they still have huge case pads though so pretty safe jumps to ride.

Here's where I rode over the New Years period.
Only got to ride 3 days about of 7, had 3 days of non stop rain.
I took this the day the rain stopped.

You dont even need to use the amount of concrete these guys are. I've used a concrete a bit before and I normally only use two shovel of concrete to about a 3/4 barrow. that way it's solid but can still be changed.
From what I saw at catty they use way more concrete that what i'd do (they've done a berm and two lips) but then again they get crazy freeze and thaw cycles there so they have to use a high concrete to clay ratio for it to hold up to the freeze.
More concrete = stronger but less changeable so you need to get it right first time.

Managed a ride at my own set of trails over the weekend.
Tested a new transfer that we've just finished, scary as fuck and feels like a roller coaster.

Yep thats the one. It's a mixture of sand and clay, really easy to dig. I found it different to work with, needs quite a bit of water and different techniques than I'm used to.
Makes for some really smooth jumps but from what Ive seen probably requires bit more maintenance.

Second image is from the same set of trails. berm and landing is rideable now and stupidly fun. Stole the photo from a mates site so shout outs go to caleb.

nice. You guys seem to have the best dirt for making jumps super smooth.
Just coming into trail season down here, keep meaning to get a few snaps of a little transfer line I've been working on but keep forgetting the cam.
