I forgot to mention to check out the Banshee Wildcard. It's a mid travel freeride/big hit slopestyle bike that's similar to the Bottlerocket: http://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/1615267/

My best advice would be to keep up on the PB Buy/Sell. The Bottlerocket is definitely a good option as it's 26" and "outdated", so they're selling rather cheap. The NS Soda FR would be a good option too, but they tend to sell for fairly high prices.

Are you set on a mid travel rig? Or would you consider a slopestyle frame? I was using a Banshee Rampant (100mm rear travel with a 140mm fork) on everything from pump tracks to XC to DH last summer without any problems, though my frame did eventually crack (I bought used and it cracked where many other Rampants have broken, to be fair). I mention slopestyle bikes because they often sell for much cheaper than mid-travel bikes and there's usually a number of them for sale on PB. Plus they can be a lot of fun depending on your local terrain. Speaking of which, what type of trails will you be doing?

$1250 for the complete bike? I'd say that's a great deal, especially with a Fox 36. Go for it.

Wrecked, are you still trying to sell your Diamondback Slope/4x frame?

I hope this is a hoax, but I will eulogize anyway:

I may have argued Brian a time or two about some minuscule bike parts-related bullshit some years back, but I am proud to have exchanged snobby, snarky remarks with a guy who cared enough about bikes to get angry. He loved bikes of all kinds, his posts and treads helped keep this place alive, and, aside from his boot fetish, he seemed like a kind and decent person. I, random guy on an internet forum, will miss you. Farewell, Brian.

I wish your family well.

kids these days with their chad kerleys and their alex kennedys...

I'm sick of the stock four pegged edits and all, but man, Alex Kennedy is good. And not just, "look I can add a barspin to everything!" kind of way, but he actually rides his bike well and does some original stuff.

This is an old one, but I really liked that set up. Mini berm to bar spin.

I feel like I've seen that mountain driving through Phoenix.

The name escapes me, but that mountain is next to the stadium at ASU and A Mountain.

Bink you are the man.

Thanks, guy!

Weedbix, the skateboard to bike transfer is real good. It almost looks like you're levitating. Has anyone ever done a bike to bike transfer like that?

The baron of the Sell and Swap was, as usual, fair and easy to deal with. A good guy all around.

The Bike Shop / 22 inches

How fat of a tire can fit in the rear tri? I'm interested in putting together sort of a Pugsley/BMX hybrid for winter riding, and this seems like it fits the bill, as long as I can fit a big tire. Speaking of which, who even makes a 22 inch tire?

My forest green Shaman with red bars/forks and a Nankai freecoaster. Damn, I wish I could find a picture of it.
