Thanks.  I think the sprocket is a Light V2.

I've been messing with this to try and make it work adequately.

can you resize tecnics pics cos i dont have a 127" monitor
I've been planning to, but that involves using an actual PC that isn't at work, and I can't seem to find it.

That in unless someone knows how to resize in the imgur app, or mobile browser.

I don't own a 36T to check, but I also would be surprised.

30T seems to be the sweet spot.  It just clears with a decent chainline.

I'm not really sure what sprocket this is, but it was cheap at my LBS, and I think it looks cool, so I scooped it.

courtesy of warrenty?
Personally, I think those pins are a wear item, and I wouldn't expect Odyssey to replace them.

I'm pretty sure if I cried and moaned enough they would, but as much as I've screwed around with chain tightness, torque on the pins and different lubes, I don't think it would be right to expect that.

First and foremost, I love this chain.  I would buy it again.  I've been running this since it first came out (usually way too tight), and I'm really hard on chains.

But:

I'll probabibly replace the other two removable pins preemptively.

I switched to steel female axles, two sets of driver springs and the newer serrated spacers. I don't really have any issues with my madera hubs anymore except that they are loud as shit.

I also chose not to use them again on my new bike.  I just got Tree Hubs.

I thought most people like loud hubs?
I kinda like my bike to sound normal because it already draws too much attention just by being a raw Barcode.  Sometimes (most of the time) I want to show up at a skatepark and just quietly ride my bike, be introverted as fuck, and not be bugged with 50 questions.

"what kind of bike is that? did you weld it yourself? can you bar/whip/backflip? what hub is that? why do you have plastic pegs? wanna play a game of bike? Are those your kids? is your wife hot? T1 is still around? do you ride trails? have you ever been to blah blah? blahblahgpoegejqbobr2gryvg;hjv q gh1jtdsfqetv2rjgfb1orf"

If you're concerned with corrosion, you can always switch entirely to stainless hardware, but the typical black oxide fasteners are fine as long as you use some antisieze/grease on the threads.
this is where its at.

I've tried to switch to all stainless steel fasteners anywhere I'm contacting aluminum on my bike.  They just look good and don't gall as readily.

The Navy uses stainless in aluminum anywhere things are exposed to seawater. I don't usually resort to "it works for XX, so it must be good" arguments, but seawater and aluminum is a motherfucker, and of the numerous problems crossing my desk, stainless fasteners are not that common, so I'm buying it.

What is that? Helicoils? New threads you put in?
yeah, you drill and tap it to some larger size, then thread in an insert the original size.

S&M also uses a little welded in plate that is most likely thick enough to heli-coil.

There was an ELI5 on Reddit a while back on this that was really really good.

I don't rembember the details, and i can't look it up at work, but basicly IE used it's own language for awhile, while Chrome, Oprah, and I think firefox all used webkit.

I'll look for it when I get home.

The Bike Shop / Re: Pre-Order your Barcodes
« on: February 26, 2015, 06:23:02 AM »
So has anyone actually pre-ordered one?

Yeah. 21/burgundy/welded mounts.

Welded mounts is kinda risky for me, because I really prefer to not ride brakes for the most part, but I have a removable mount frame from the last run I can run brakeless.

I'll kinda feel like a cock for having two Barcodes, but whatever.  It's better than spending the money on hookers and blow I guess.
