I really like that, think it might be a bit of a challenge to get the look in 3d though, ie where the gold/black stripe goes nice and straight over the rear haunches, in reality that line might look wiggly from a 3/4 view?

What do you see yourself doing on it?

Meat: 'lets not buy each other stuff this year, spend it on the house instead?'
Trick: 'good idea, but you're definitely not getting me anything right?'
Meat: 'no defos' (lie)

So I received the gift of shame, guilt and therefore limitless POWER

Thats cool, looks like most of it, including the base (with some concessions), could be done on a laser tube cutter? Would cost a fraction of getting all the stuff machined.

Find some 3-4mm thick stainless pipe the dia of the largest ring, cut out a slightly orange segment shaped profile for the bottom one (to give you the tilt), then each ring above, make it a C shape with progressively bigger gaps in the C <-- , bend those closed, weld them up and hide the joins behind the plaque on the front. Rest of it is all fairly basic tube cutting and wouldnt cost much, biggest challenge will be finding stock tubes.

You could put the chamfers on manually, but sounds like a ballache to me, i doubt it would detract from the overall look much if you left them off.

Rad. Just to put it all into context, what sort of real world impact would cause that amount of deflection we're seeing?  Ie 70kg rider from 4ft, etc, etc....

Is the test applying a predetermined load, or is it deflecting the forks a set amount?

Seat tube looks skinny, is it a 27.2? Might be if its a play bike, if thats the case then you couldntfit a reverb and the available dropper options are all horrible. Might be a consideration...?

High front end helps with technical stuff on a hardtail, all the riding round my way is fairly hairy and i almost exclusively ride one. 5'11, med frame, 130mm fork, 65mm stem, couple of spacers, 40mm rise bars, forks pretty hard to keep the ride height up. Mines at the more extreme end, but it still climbs fine and is perfectly comfortable for me anyway.

Good timing G... he's flat out on the uk levels now, but im off on holiday with him weekend after next, so ill bother him hard to sort all the issues in the existing ones too, 3-4 where both on my list, i can only get through the last level if i dont do any tricks, i dont know whats going on there.

As of yesterday its been announced its going #enduro for the next one...

Aiming to have it out or at least play testing, before christmas i think?

The 4th spoke nipple, anticlockwise from the valve, on my front wheel, when viewed from the drive side. Though it sometimes varies between that and the front left bolt in my stem, i'm fickle.

listen to the engine whine

Probably just an auxiliary belt, but best check your oil levels too.
